Beyond the Pandemic’s 12th Episode: Impact of Corona on Agriculture

The global outbreak of Coronavirus, super cyclone Amphan and recent flooding in north and north-eastern region of Bangladesh have made a serious impact in the country’s agriculture and seasonal harvesting. To discuss and analyze the effect of these natural crises on the agriculture sector, Bangladesh Awami League is organizing the 12th episode of a special webinar titled ‘Beyond the pandemic on 21st July.

It will be broadcasted on Tuesday at 8.30 pm. Special Assistant to HPM Barrister Shah Ali Farhad will moderate the session as usual. To discuss the topic, Minister for Agriculture and Awami League Presidium Member Dr. Md Abdur Razzaq MP, Professor Emeritus and former Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agriculture University Dr. M. A. Sattar Mandal, current Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agriculture University Dr. Lutful Hasan, President of Bangladesh Agricultural Economists Society Sazzadul Hasan and Bangladesh Awami League’s Secretary for Agriculture and Co-operatives Affairs Faridunnahar Laily will join the discussion through Zoom Meeting platform.

The webinar will be aired live on Awami League’s official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/awamileague.1949 ) and Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/myalbd ).


Viewers can ask their queries and suggest ideas to the speakers during the live session through Facebook. According to Awami League sources, this webinar’s primary goal is to know what general people, especially the youth, are thinking about government and party’s steps and measures to tackle the pandemic.
